Shipping FAQ

Where do you ship your products from?

We use a third-party logistics (3PL) provider to ship all of our products. The company, Amplifier, is based in Austin, Texas. To help keep shipping costs for our customers as low as possible (while also providing tracking numbers for the majority of shipments), Amplifier uses DHL for shipping.

DHL handles the first leg of the journey for any products purchased from Airship (unless otherwise noted). The company/entity that handles the second leg of the journey will depend on the destination country.

For all orders within the United States, the United States Postal Service (USPS) will handle delivery of your package.

For all International Orders, the company that hands delivery will vary. this is described more below under "International Orders."

How long does it take to ship my order?

Most orders will ship within 2 to 3 business days. You will receive an email within 24 hours to notify you that your package has shipped and include tracking information. Orders placed during the holiday season can take longer to ship.

If you purchased a backordered item or a pre-ordered item, your entire order will ship at the time that the item is available.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

For US orders with standard shipping, packages take between 4 to 9 days to arrive after a package has shipped.

For US orders with expedited shipping, packages take between 3 to 4 days to arrive after a package has shipped.

For international orders, packages take between 2 to 5 weeks to arrive after a package has shipped.

What is my tracking number?

Within 24 hours after your order ships, you will receive an email from orders@airshipnotebooks.com with your tracking information. Please search your email inbox and spam folder for that email address before contacting us regarding your order status.

Please note that we cannot provide tracking information for all countries. Refer to the “Do you ship internationally?” question for more information.

I didn't receive my package but tracking says it's been delivered.

We are not responsible for packages that have been misdelivered by the carrier or stolen. Please follow-up with the carrier to report the package as missing. Let us know the status of the shipment once you have reported the package along with your claim number, and then we will be able to file a claim.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. Airship does ship internationally and we are working to lower our international shipping rates. We are not responsible for any international customs regulations or duties that may apply. See the section regarding Value Added Tax & customs fees).

While we can ship to nearly every country in the world, only the following international shipments will be sent out with tracking numbers:

Poland
Portugal

We can still ship to your country if it is not listed above, however once the item is shipped out of the United States, the package will no longer be tracked.

Isn’t DHL a German company? Why doesn’t DHL offer tracked shipments to Germany?

We have no idea. To be honest, no one has actually this question (yet), but we have wondered this for a while and thought other people would ask us the same question after reviewing the above list of countries.

Do your prices include Value Added Tax (VAT) or Customs Fees/Duties?

No. None of our prices include VAT, customs fees or customs duties. Airship is not responsible for any international taxes or duties that might apply when your package arrives in your home country.

If you are an international customer, that has purchased something from Airship, please note that you may be contacted by DHL's customs company, Customs Clearance Ltd, regarding any customs fees and VAT that might be owed. They will indicate that you are receiving an order from “AMPLIFIER”, which is the company that handles our warehousing and shipping.

The customs fees and VAT that are requested by Customs Clearance Ltd are typically required by the destination country and we have no control over whether those duties will be requested. Please note that Airship does not have any specific connection or affiliation with Customs Clearance Ltd. We are just providing this information in the FAQ because, appropriately, it is a frequently asked question.

If you would like to have access to our products in your home country, feel free to ask your local retailer to email hello@airshipnotebooks.com and we can work out some wholesale order.

My tracking information has not been updated. What do I do?

There may be several reasons why your tracking information has not been updated.

For domestic shipments, the package may be delayed at a transit hub. USPS has several hubs throughout the United States where package are sorted before continuing to their destination state. If you have questions regarding the status of your package, we suggest you contact USPS.

For international shipments, most of them first travel to a DHL processing hub in Melrose Park, Illinois. Once processed at that hub, packages are sent out to their destination country. Your tracking information might appear to remain in Melrose Park or some other location in the United States for a number of days, which only means that the package is being processed OR it has been processed and is on its way to your country.

If you feel there is some issue with your order, please feel free to email help@airshipnotebooks.com and we will try to help.
